Steffi Laier - 4x World Champion Motocross

The new season is on it’s way and Steffi is getting slowley adapted to her new Rabbit - Kawasaki bike. Having her first race in Valence 2 weeks ago it was now time to get the setup of the bike.

The first round of the Dutch Open was in Lochem in the North of The Netherlands. Steffi really didn’t know what to expect. She really had her doubts about being good enough to win some races. She didn’t spend much time on her new green power and with 14 years on the same bike brand this was the complete new experience....

EVENT:
Steffi proved to be in the right feeling as we expected to be. Putting the fastest time in qualifing with 5sec’s a lap faster then the competition it all looked good! Lochem is a technical not to sandy track and with sidecars in the race day the track condition
would be very hard...

RACE 1:

Steffi took the holeshot with the Rabbit Kawasaki and it was end of story fo the competition. Having a good rhythm on the bike, she pulled away 50sec of second rider, Marielle De Mol.

RACE 2:

Same situation for Steffi. Taking the lead in first corner it was looking to see something for the UFO-rider... Finishing the race with a win with a gap of 1 min second rider it shows Steffi is making herself ready!

STEFFI LAIER:
“The team did a great job! The last week the people of Promax and my team Rabbit Kawasaki Racing Team did everything to get me as comfi as possible on the bike.
The first race I had a lot of armpump but I could survive it. The second race the track was heavy and my feeling on the bike was a lot better. I really enjoy riding this bike so much and this fun I really wanted to reach in 2012 and we are getting there! I am looking forward to next week as I really like Valkenswaard...
Thanks again on the complete team!”
